Government of Malawi, Africa - Trainer in Leadership / Strategic Planning
- Conducted a leadership and organizational development program for the Deputy Ministers and Directors in the government of Malawi.
- Trained management and technical staff on developing long term strategic plans.
Philippines – Cities of Cebu and Davao - Governance Specialist
- Trained two new Watershed Management Boards in the two major cities to operate within a collaborative governance model and provided strategic planning and organizational development.
USA – Washington and Oregon States - Organizational Consultant
- Cascadia Green Building Council – provided governance, strategic planning and organizational development for this progressive sustainable non profit organization.
- Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architects - facilitated the sustainable design team at this nationally recognized architectural firm in Portland, Oregon.

Vancouver and Lethbridge Police Departments - Planning Consultant
- Developed strategic plans in Vancouver, BC and Lethbidge, Alberta with their Police Boards, Police Chiefs and management staff.
Yukon College - Organizational Consultant
- Coordinated the strategic and operational plans with the Board of Directors and senior management; provided management training and consultation throughout its implementation.
District of Sechelt – 25 Year Plan - Planner
- Coordinated a 20 member Steering Committee in preparing a long-term community vision to guide the community’s future growth and development (2007 – 2008)
Whistler 2020 - Planner
- Facilitated key organizations in Whistler, an international ski resort in North America, in developing their long term sustainability plan (2000 – 2006)
Downtown New Westminster – Downtown Revitalization Plan - Planner
- Worked for the local Business Association to address the deterioration of the downtown and waterfront area and designed a long-term plan for the future growth and enhancement of the downtown (1996 – 97)

City of Vancouver – Riot Review - Mediator
- Facilitated the review of the Stanley Cup Hockey Riot that occurred in downtown Vancouver, engaging different constituencies to examine the causes and proposing long-term solutions. The successful review resulted in an innovative co-coordinated emergency response program (ECOM) for all communities throughout the Lower Mainland
BC Ferries – Ferry-Dependent Communities - Negotiator
- Coordinated the planning and conducted the negotiations for the 38-member Coastal Council to BC Ferries for four years, leading to the development of a long-term financial sustainability plan for the province’s ferry system (200 ships)
Future of Hastings Park – City of Vancouver and Province of British Columbia - Mediator
- Coordinated a 28-person advisory task force and conducted the negotiations for the future of the 400-acre Hastings Park in Vancouver, resulting in an agreement among all key stakeholders representing the neighbourhood, agricultural interests, businesses, exhibitors, labour, sports organizations, the Parks Board, the Pacific Racing Association, the Pacific National Exhibition, the City and the Province.
Correctional Services Canada – Community Reintegration Centre for Sex Offenders - Facilitator
- Facilitated a controversial multi-stakeholder process to address the design and location of a community reintegration centre for sex offenders returning from prison to the community.
Nechako Watershed Area - Facilitator
- Facilitated a process between representatives of the Cheslatta First Nations, Nechako River Alliance, the Nechako Watershed Council and the Nechako Environmental Enhancement Management Committee in deciding on the future enhancement of the Nechako Watershed in northern British Columbia.
City of Vancouver/Province of British Columbia/Canada - Negotiator
- Facilitated the development of the Vancouver Agreement, a tripartite agreement between the three levels of government to address the major social issues facing the downtown Eastside of Vancouver.

Developing Learning Organizations – Competency Model - Trainer/Coach
- Currently training two organizations to become learning organizations based on a leadership competency model. This includes working with the management staff to design competencies to improve their leadership and management functions, and coaching individuals along with designated learning teams to enhance their knowledge, skills and abilities.
Coaching CEOs/Presidents/Executive Directors - Coach
- Currently coaching 5 executives operating governmental, non-profit and/or educational institutions throughout Canada in organizational development, conflict resolution, governance, planning, management, personnel development, teamwork, staff evaluations and dismissals.
Local Government Leadership Training - Trainer
- Working with the Local Government Leadership Institute to provide leadership training to local government officials and senior managers in British Columbia and overseas. The training in the Philippines produced over 1000 trained local government coaches throughout the country.
VanCity Savings Credit Union – Board Governance and Evaluation - Evaluator
- Evaluated the performance of the Board of Directors at Vancity Credit Union, with the goal of improving board members’ functioning by using a peer review model to identify and build on each person’s strengths.
